GNN was established in 2005 with the aim of strengthening research at Rikshospitalet-Radiumhospitalet and the Institute of Basic Medical Sciences by improving the interaction between the two institutions. Since its inception, GNN has broadened the scope of its activities and is now open for members from all medical research environments in the Oslo region.
GNN was established at the initiative of the Faculty of Medicine and the Centre for Molecular Biology and Neuroscience (www.cmbn.no).
